How to Have a Good Friday.
Step One: Sit and the kitchen table, sipping coffee, while you watch your husband tidy up the kitchen.
Step Two: Go to Walmart to buy school supplies. Don't you just love the smell of crayons?
Step Three: Go to the local antique store and when your husband and son head one direction, quietly walk in the other direction. Meet at the front when you are finished browsing. Trust me. It works better this way!
Step Four: Daydream about a Cherry Dr. Pepper from Sonic, but be content with a regular Dr. Pepper from McDonalds because your husband doesn't want to cross a busy street (in the car. at a stop light. ??? men make no sense whatsoever.)
Step Five: Return home just in time to enjoy an unexpected downpour from the comfort of your own home. I swear that I heard our grass saying "yum yum yum yum yum."
I'm off to search for my illicit soft drink. I hope that you all have a great weekend!

I love a box of new crayons...the smell, the beautiful colors, the memory of the excitement of a new school year.
ReplyDeleteI just might go buy a new box all for myself!
Thanks for sharing your day!
School supplies are the best! I still buy them for myself sometimes. My kids love going to get their supplies.
ReplyDeleteI think our husband must be friends. This sounds strangly familiar.
